Bato Dashitsirenov (1961 - 2010)
Sculptor, Painter, Graphic artist,
Honored Artist of Buryatia
Bato Dashitsyrenov was a painter, graphic artist, sculptor and set designer. At the center of his artistic world were images associated with the Buryat cult of ancestors. He sought to ensure that these images find their place in the modern world and be visible to everyone who might be interested in them. Bato's teacher, the well-known theater designer Eduard Kochergin, said of his student: "Bato is a wonderful plastic, very own and very Buryat, and therefore authentic and universal."
Bato Dashitsyrenov passed away in the prime of his creative life. He took with him a lot of unrealized ideas, but those works that he managed to create will delight the audience for a long time to come. The bright memory of the wonderful artist and man will remain in our hearts.
